I am pursuing my PhD at Utrecht University's Human Centered Computing group in collaborating with the Dutch Railways (NS). After two years of hands-on experience as a UX professional, I returned to academia. My current research focus is on context-aware personalization for public transport information systems, upholding a human-centered approach.
With a background in Industrial Design and Human-Technology Interaction, I work at the intersection of design, psychology, and AI. Driven by curiosity about human behaviour and decision-making. I aim to understand how AI shapes our daily experiences and decision-making processes and leverage these insights to improve everyday interactions.
In my current research focus on public transport, I combine qualitative and quantitative methods to capture and deeply understand travel experiences. Through focus groups, diary studies, surveys, and choice modeling, I explore how travelers make decisions and what drives their preferences. By translating these insights, I can create personalized, meaningful, and effective travel information and recommendations.
When I am not working, I am probably organizing [whatever I can think of] to bring people together, cooking, travelling, or taking photos. Oh, and occasionally plotting my future limoncello empire.
